Juliane Traxler, M.Sc.

Juliane Traxler is a research fellow at the Institute for Health Services Research in Dermatology and Nursing (IVDP) at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). A psychologist by training, she is particularly interested in the psychosocial impact of living with a chronic disease including stigmatisation experiences, resilience and quality of life. In her current role, she is collaborating on the development of interventions against stigmatisation in visible chronic skin diseases.


Juliane is working on her PhD thesis in Health Psychology at KU Leuven, Belgium, on the topic of avoidance behavior resulting from acute and chronic pain. Prior to this, she obtained a B.Sc. degree in Psychology at Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in 2015 and completed the Research Master program in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience at Maastricht University, the Netherlands, in 2017.
