Neuza da Silva Burger holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology by the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Coimbra and the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon (Portugal). Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the German Center for Health Services Research in Dermatology, Institute for Health Services Research in Dermatology and Nursing (IVDP) at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). Her current research interests are focused on clinical and health psychology in medical settings, with particular interest in chronic health conditions, quality of life, patient-centred healthcare research, patient needs and treatment benefits, stigmatization and sexuality.
